Restaurant Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for a kind and confident Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dining area. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a busy restaurant with a seasonal menu, strong wine knowledge, and excellent communication skills. They will be interested in responsible sourcing, passionate about hospitality, and committed to team development.
The Duke Organic is part of a family of four pubs (and a small farm in Deptford). We focus on seasonal and organic produce, responsible sourcing and team member happiness. We believe in hospitality as a force for good.
Responsibilities:
Lead from the front and set the tone for the standards, service and culture in the restaurant.
Offer warm and professional hospitality to all of our guests.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and conduct daily briefings to motivate and inspire the team.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
Train, mentor, and develop team members.
Oversee all reservations and collaborate with the events team to ensure we maximise the space and offer the best experience to our guests.
Ensure strong and consistent sales through product knowledge training and seamless service.
Analyse daily and weekly sales to ensure accurate forecasting for the rota.
Maintain a positive and supportive work environment at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a similar role and environment.
A genuine interest in responsible food and drinks sourcing.
A passion for training and developing team members.
An awareness of and a genuine interest in the current UK hospitality industry.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
